Accessible website for New College Worcester
We've been working with New College Worcester for 8 years and were proud to win the tender process to re-design the website again in 2013. As a college for visually impaired students, accessibility of the website was a key concern for NCW and the project also benefited from testing by students using screen readers.
Like all our new website it's also 'responsive' which means it adapts to mobile and tablet devices, and of course an accessible website still needs to look good and feel easy on standard desktop computers. NCW wanted their website to reflect the college itself: friendly, open and accessible to all.
During the design process, we work differently to other agencies by starting with a moodboard: a general reference of possible styles, textures and colours that we feel work for the business. Having this before looking at the actual website design starts a conversation that helps us understand better what you do and don't like. It's also one of the reasons our clients have always chosen the first design.
The new website includes an events calendar, downloadable documents, login for parents and governors, social media and YouTube integration.
